Today’s Weight: 76.9kg.
If I compare today’s weight with yesterday’s, it looks crazy: 75.6 -> 76.9kg. That’s 1.3kg up.
If look at the trend for the past week, it looks a bit less crazy:
76.5 -> 76.5 -> 76.3 -> 76.6 -> 76.3 -> 75.6 -> 76.9
This is one of the reasons why it’s important to weigh daily - to see the trend. Apart from yesterday, I’m hovering around the 76.5 mark; sometimes a bit below, sometimes a bit above.
But why the huge variation from yesterday? I think that yesterday’s figure came in low due to the fact that I was a bit dehydrated, and today’s came in higher because of the HUGE amount of food I ate last night still has to be absorbed.
My meal last night was healthy with tones of vegetables, and only 100 calories in crab meat and ham, so I’m not worried that the meal has damaged my weight plan in any way. I think it’s just takes time for everything to be absorbed.
It’s difficult to know the reasons for variation day to day - factors such as when I ate, what I ate, when I slept, the time I got up, whether I had alcohol, etc all come into play. Seeing a weeks worth of figures, as laid out above, helps make things much clearer than weighing just once a week or comparing just two consecutive days.
I’m confident that I’ll see my weight drop closer to 75kg over the next week.
