76.6kg - The Start Of The Week Bites Back

Today’s weight: 76.6kg

As I expected - the start of the week, and my weight went up again.

There are two reasons why my weight went up today. One is acceptable. One is not so acceptable.

First the acceptable one: I ate a lot (of veg) last night, and I ate late. Why is this acceptable? Because I know that everything will be happily absorbed by my body today - it’s purely a timing issue of when I weigh; it’s not the same as having put on a kilo of fat.

Now the unacceptable: For some reason, over the last few days I’ve felt like snacking before bed - even though I’m full. Usually in that case, I have some fruit - like strawberries or apple. Last night I craved cous-cous, and I seem to remember that happening last week also.

Cous-cous is not a good thing to be eating before bed, and I must make sure it doesn’t develop into a habit. It’s almost as bad as having pizza before bed, in my mind.

Depending on what I do tonight, most of the 1kg “gained” today could be off again tomorrow. However I want to go out tonight, because it’s a while since I’ve been out. Trouble is, there’s nothing I really want to eat outside..
