Today’s weight: 75.5kg
The weekend is almost here, which brings its own challenges.
Yesterday I analysed my weight since starting this blog, using Excel. I noticed that when I take out the “blips” caused by days where I ate mounds of vegetables the night before (one, two) I was left with three distinct bands: I hovered over 77kg, then around 76.5, then around 75.5.
First two days - over 77kg: 77.3 -> 77.8
Next five days - around 76.5kg: 76.5 -> 76.5 -> 76.3 -> 76.6 -> 76.3
Then until today - around 75.6kg: 75.6, X, 75.8, 75.8, 75.8, 75.5, X, 75.8, 75.5
Looking back through this blog, there’s nothing specific about the days when I dropped down a band - I’ve been pretty consistent in my eating approach.
It’s often said that when you learn a new language, you don’t see your progress increase little by little daily - you see plateau, step up, plateau, step up, plateau. For example, you’ll think you’re not progressing and then one day you suddenly realise that you can understand all the announcements on the train, which you couldn’t before.
It seems like my weight loss is similar - plateau, step down, plateau, step down, plateau. Let’s hope that the next step down isn’t too far away.
