Today’s weight: 74.7kg

As expected, back to the late 74’s.

When I started this blog, I’d just hit the emergency level. I needed to take definite action to reduce my weight. One of the things I did was change my lunch from a jumbo pack of sandwiches to tuna and spinach salad, miso soup, and orange juice - a much healthier alternative, appropriate to the emergency level I was at.

At the beginning of last week, I reached within 1kg of my goal. I decided to relax the lunch slightly, to something more appropriate with maintaining weight, or losing just a little, than something aimed at losing a lot of weight - so I incorporated a bean salad into my diet. Then later in the week I tried a Chinese salad instead.

Unfortunately both the bean salad and the Chinese salad were gorgeous, and I’ve ended up having both every day, and leaving out the miso soup. In terms of a lunch for maintaining weight, it’s fine - only about 350 calories altogether - but I think that change is the reason my weight is not falling further now.

As I said yesterday, I need to regain focus again. I relaxed a little too early, I think.
