			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s funny the way losing weight works. On days when I think I&#8217;ve done &#8220;really well&#8221;, my weight wont budge. On days when I think I&#8217;ve done badly and I&#8217;m bound to gain, sometimes the opposite happens and my weight falls.</p>
<p>And so describes the last two days. Yesterday my weight was constant again - the same for four days running. Last night, day 11, I ended up going out to a British bar and drinking and eating myself silly. I walked the hour home after but I still expected to be up this morning. Not so - down to 80.4kg, the big shift that I predicted follows a flat period. I just hope tomorrow doesn&#8217;t return me back to the 81&#8217;s!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been pretty much flat the last two days, weighing in at 81.2kg again this morning. That&#8217;s both good and bad - good that I&#8217;m not going up, bad that I&#8217;m not going down. I reckon that the next few days will see a jump in either direction - either dropping another kilo or going back up another kilo - since that&#8217;s generally what happens when I&#8217;m flat. Weight doesn&#8217;t seem to come off or go on 0.2kg at a time with me, it tends to be flat and then jumps.</p>
<p>Foodwise, I&#8217;ve been doing relatively well. I&#8217;m into a pattern now at lunchtime of picking up a hot meal, around 300kcal, and a piece of fruit, and eating them with some tomato juice and decaf. It&#8217;s enough to keep me going all day, and getting calories from fruit is good for giving the body energy to fight fat. </p>
<p>In the evenings, I&#8217;m walking home from work every night for exercise - that&#8217;s about an hour. While I&#8217;d love to be a gym person and have a perfect bod, I&#8217;m not. Walking is something I love and so it&#8217;s easy to do it without feeling that I&#8217;m scheduling &#8220;exercise&#8221;. It would take me 30 minutes to get home anyway, so walking the way not only keeps me fit but adds only 30 minutes.</p>

<p>Eating out and meeting friends is always a challenge when I&#8217;m trying to lose weight - what do I eat and drink and where do I go, without forcing my friends to live the &#8220;diet&#8221; also? </p>
<p>Last night&#8217;s choice was Korean. Taste was excellent (surprising for a Korean restaurant in Japan) but I can&#8217;t say that it will have contributed positively to my fat shedding plans. What definitely wont have contributed positively would be the alcohol induced &#8220;I need something to eat&#8221; late night snack when I got home. Can&#8217;t believe I did that - my stomach was still full this morning.</p>
<p>I have two other big meals out this week, one today and one tomorrow. Despite last night and the upcoming evenings being less than optimal, I still have the goal firmly in mind and I&#8217;m moving towards it with focus on empowering lunches.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Enough is enough. From March until May this year I managed to get down to my ideal weight. But then disaster struck. I got ill - and with illness came less focus of maintaining weight and more focus on just&#8230; surviving.</p>
<p>Now it&#8217;s November, and I&#8217;m 82.3kg, which is about 7kg above the weight I want to be. I have to restart getting back to my ideal weight now, not least because I need to lose these man boobs before I go to Thailand on December 5th.</p>
<p><strong>Weight today, November 10th: 82.3kg.</p>
<p>By Dec 5th I want to be around 77kg.</p>
<p>Ultimate goal: 74kg.</strong></p>
<p>This blog is going to be my personal record, something to ensure that I am publically making the effort. It&#8217;s not advice. It&#8217;s possibly not even exciting. But it will lead to success.</p>
